OPERATIONAL DISPATCH OPTIMIZATION IN AIRPORT GROUND HANDLING
- Developed a data-driven decision support system to optimize staff dispatching in airport ground handling operations at Zurich Airport
- Processed and analyzed large-scale operational time-series data to identify workload patterns and operational bottlenecks
- Built forecasting and classification models (e.g. gradient boosting, LSTM, time-series transformers) to identify operationally critical days
- Designed a simulation environment and RL-based dispatching agent to evaluate alternative staffing strategies under uncertainty
REINFORCEMENT LEARNING–BASED CONTROL OF ENERGY SYSTEMS
- Developed a RL-based approach for adaptive control of heat pump systems
- Formulated the control problem as a sequential decision task and evaluated learned control strategies against rule-based baselines
MACHINE LEARNING–BASED MODELING OF AIRCRAFT NOISE PROPAGATION
- Developed a ML model to estimate aircraft noise propagation based on environmental and terrain data
- Preprocessed high-resolution noise attenuation grids and terrain information
- Encoded terrain characteristics into latent representations to enable noise prediction

- Analysed long-term airline industry performance and profitability patterns
